Our Story

NECESSITY IS THE MOTHER OF INVENTION…

Our story began at a boutique fitness studio in a suburb of Los Angeles. The studio’s owner was building a strong and loyal community, but she’d made a mistake when buying Pilates reformers from a self-promoter who charged high prices and offered lousy service. His machines were unreliable, and it was a headache to get replacement parts. She knew she could not grow her business as long as this guy was involved.

Determined to get out of a bad relationship with her equipment supplier, the studio owner asked her boyfriend (who luckily ran a manufacturing company) to make a new and modern reformer. Something that was perfect for a high intensity workout, but also reliable and easy to maintain. It took long hours and lots of trial and error, but eventually the first XFormers were born.

The interest from other studio owners was overwhelming, so a team was built to manufacture and deliver XFormers. Eight years later, XFormer is supporting many of the strongest brands in fitness. We have supplied more than 200 thriving studios, with many more to come in 2024!
